Renowned Dancehall Artiste, Shatta Wale, has openly kicked against ever ascending a stage at the 02 Arena to perform deeming it as irrelevant.
Nigerian singer, Asake, recently sold out the 20000 capacity 02 Arena in the UK with a staggering performance which became the talk of town. The ever outspoken Shatta Wale, slammed Ghanaians artists as well as stakeholders in the music industry for not being able to pull off such a show. Some sections of Ghanaians flooded Shatta’s Twitter page to call him out for being hypocritical for being part of the industry but choose to sideline himself to attack his colleagues. Others also made it known to the SM boss that with his huge fanbase he still cannot fill the 02 Arena for a performance.
Yesterday, August 8, in a discussion on Journalist, Serwaa Amihere space on Twitter, Shatta was quizzed on being able to have sold out show at the 02 Arena. Shatta quickly rebuffed the question from Serwaa Amihere stating emphatically that it isn’t his priority to fill the 02 for a concert.
According to Shatta, his priority is to align his bank account with billions of dollars, investing in businesses and acquiring properties.
