Game Week 11 served out a number of Firsts in Premier League action this Saturday. Arsenal were served their first defeat of the season as they traveled to Newcastle. Sheffield United on the other hand got their first win.

Arsenal have won 19 of their previous 22 matches against Newcastle in all competitions. Newcastle had also failed to score in eight of the nine most recent league meetings, with the exception a 2-0 home victory in May 2022.
- It’s been a scrappy game with lot of desire, a lot of passion, but not a lot in quality. Both sides did not create chances until the hour mark. Jacob Murphy’s wayward shot is just about kept in play by Joe Willock and the cross is headed down by Joelinton, who appears to push Gabriel, but Anthony Gordon scrambles it in. After a lengthy VAR check of about 2 minutes, the goal was finally given to the home side and that was the only goal of the game.
The result sees an end to the Gunners unbeaten run and may also see them move from second to fifth if Tottenham, Liverpool and Aston Villa all win their outstanding matches.
