The Lagos State Police Command has announced the arrest of Balogun Eletu, widely known as Sam Larry, an associate of singer Naira Marley, over the death of musician, Mohbad.
Sam Larry is a popular socialite and businessman who is known for his close relationship with Naira Marley. He is the CEO of Sam Larry Entertainment, a record label and event management company. He is also the founder of Sam Larry Foundation, a charity organization that supports the less privileged. He has been accused of being involved in Mohbad’s death by sending thugs to attack him and poison him.
Mohbad, whose real name is Ilerioluwa Aloba, was a talented singer and songwriter who rose to fame with his hit songs like ‘Peace’, ‘Sorry’, and ‘Feelings’. He was a former member of Marlian Music, a record label owned by Naira Marley. He left the label in 2022 after a fallout with Naira Marley and Sam Larry. He alleged that they assaulted him, sabotaged his career, and threatened his life. He died on Tuesday, September 12, 2023, at the age of 27.
Police investigation
The police have launched an investigation into Mohbad’s death after receiving reports from his family and fans. The police have arrested Sam Larry as a prime suspect and are interrogating him for his role in the incident.
