America trade mission to Nigeria in Partnership with Ikeja Chamber of commerce, Industry and Agriculture

Ikeja Chamber of commerce, industry, and Agriculture played host to a Trade Mission at the Lagos Marriott Hotel ikeja. The Team had a group of Local County Officials from the City of Miramar South of Miami, Florida United States of America. In attendance were The Vice Mayor of Miramar County( Amb. Alexandra Davis. In the company of Vice Mayor of North miami( Mary Estimè-lrine), and the Mayor of Launderdale. Two other young government officials who were part of the team, include Deban campbel, and P Njoroge.

The President of Ikeja Chamber of commerce, lndustry, and Agriculture;  Amb. Edward Olutoke in his remarks appreciated the team for coming to Nigeria to create a working, relationship in business, tourism, safety, Infrastructure, and to open opportunities for Nigerians who wishes to invest in Florida or in any of the County that had representatives. The symposium opened opportunities for investment in Major cities across Nigeria.

Other speakers at the conference were the President of Women in international trades who spoke in the area of Women involvement in trade and investment,  she requested for the cooperation of the Americans to give access to Nigerians intending to do business with them.

In his closing remarks, the President of Ikeja Chamber of commerce, industry and Agriculture informed the Foreign mission team of how his organization is fighting poverty in Nigeria by creating an enabling environment for people to get educated, and create links to generate investment for small, and medium enterprises.  This way farmers and young entrepreneurs generate funds to run their businesses. This is also their way to eliminate poverty. He encouraged the team to bring in more investors and investments to increase our revenue and GDP. He also asked the foreign team to meet their Embassy in Nigeria to create a simple travel structure to help Nigerians access their cities.

This symposium ended up in a lunch session between members of the organisation from the two countries. The event took place at Mariott Hotel. Ikeja, Lagos.
