- Nigerian superstar musician, David Adeleke, alias Davido, has congratulated his South African counterpart, Tyla, for winning her first Grammy for Best African Music Performance.

Tyla won the category at the 66th Grammy Awards on Sunday night, defeating Davido, Burna Boy, Asake, and Olamide to claim the highly-coveted gramophone.
However, despite losing to the ‘Water’ crooner, Davido congratulated Tyla on her victory via his official Twitter (X) account.
He wrote; “Congratulations on your win @Tyllaaaaaaa ! Big One for Africa! Keep soaring!”.
