Super Eagle Will Win AFCON Trophy For Tinubu- NFF
The Super Eagles of Nigeria have performed very well during the current African Cup of Nations in Ivory Coast. The Super Eagles of Nigeria defeated Angola on Friday evening to advance to the semi-final of the tournament. It should be said that players like Ademola Lookman and Stanley Nwabali have performed very well for the Super Eagles of Nigeria during the African Cup of Nations.
A report by Punch indicates that the management of the Nigeria Football Federation have stated that the Super Eagles of Nigeria will win the African Cup of Nations title to honour president Bola Ahmed Tinubu. Punch reports that NFF president, Ibrahim Gusau made this statement when he was interviewed by journalists in Ivory Coast on Saturday.
He said that the team promised to give president Bola Ahmed Tinubu the AFCON Trophy. He stated that “we promised him that we are going to give him the trophy and by the grace of God, we are going to do just that”.
