According to Daily Post, Angola coach Pedro Soares Goncalves has shared his insights on Nigeria’s national football team, the Super Eagles, ahead of their anticipated quarter-final clash in the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) on Friday.
Mr. Goncalves described Nigeria as a formidable force in African football, emphasising the abundance of talented players within their ranks.
According to the Angola coach, Nigeria stands out as an African football colossus, boasting players who have made their mark in prominent European leagues such as the Premier League, Italian Serie A, and the Portuguese League.
The Angola coach said, “Nigeria is a colossus of African football, although it had some difficulties before the African championship.
“But, what is certain is that Nigeria is an African colossus full of talented players, many of them playing in the Premier League or reference leagues in Europe, such as the Italian League and the Portuguese League.”
